A native New Yorker, Shoshanna Lonstein was reared by Jewish parents in Manhattan. On the Upper East Side of Manhattan, she graduated from Nightingale-Bamford School for Girls in 1993.
The University of California, Los Angeles was her final stop after a two-year stint at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
